    For Doom 3?
    NO-Way?????

The latest release dates i got through gamespress didn't have Doom 3 even on the TBA list, so I can pretty much guarentee we won'r be seeing it this Christmas, this time next year is more likely.

LOL you wish next year! We would be lucky if that happened. I would laugh if anyone said this year though. Gamespot, Computer Gaming World and PCGamer all say 2003 would be the earliest. Although they could be wrong but with 3 BIG people saying it I dont see it that way .

    By Scuttle October 06, 2001, 03:01 PM

Yeah, 2002 was a wee bit hopeful. Guess we'll have to wait and watch.

DooM 3 has already been in development for over a year now. Although only since Team Arena came out has ID been doing it hardcore. This is ID we are talking about. The guys already knew what they were shooting for before TA was finished. Just a matter of coding the sucker. DooM 3 is a COMPLETE rewrite of their current technology. Unlike Quake 3 which was more like a rehash of the quake 2 engine. In my humble opinion DooM3 will be under most peoples Christmas tree next year, with ID's famous test versions out around november. They've been doing it for too long now. Or perhaps I dream a little too much....

I Seriously don't see what the big deal is with doom 3, imagine, agonizing over that game for the next 2 years, are you nuts!!
besides some pretty good graphics i don't see what that game has that puts it above games out now, I am pretty sure i wont be buyin it but maybe i dont see the big picture, oh well
