The Carrier 450 comes with a 450MHz G3 CPU with 1MB of 225MHz level 2 cache. The PowerPC CPU of the Carrier 450 is soldered onto a ZIF daughtercard alongside the cache RAM. The ZIF daughtercard is then inserted into a ZIF socket on the CPU daughtercard that then plugs into the computer's motherboard. Covering the CPU and ZIF daughtercard is a relatively small 5" by 2.75" by .1" heatsink. A portion of the heatsink is cut away allowing access to four jumpers that control the bus ratio. Along the top edge of the card is a set of ten jumpers used for overclocking.
