We find SiS' integrations efforts to be innovative and advanced. Despite having low-end image, SiS has showed us with their SiS630S chipset that they have cutting edge technology for the mid-range.
Fortunately, SiS is not stopping with the SiS630S. Their SiS730S will be their first Athlon compatible chipset, and will come with a slightly enhanced feature set over the SiS630S. Even further down the road, which means early to mid-2001, SiS will come out with what is essentially an x86 system on a chip. It will include x86 support and is intended for low-cost, highly integrated applications like set top boxes. SiS has been discounted as of late, but we think they're far from being an also-ran. We look forward to more "Adventures in Integration" from SiS.
