  • I learned several things from this experience. Had we gone with D-Link PC cards, I doubt we would have had the problems we did. And in the end the one problem we did have was pretty simple to fix. In the future, as these companies get more experienced and more calls from customers with varying networks, you can be sure that issues like this will be addressed. Secondly, for a home network, the comforts you gain from going wireless might just make up for the loss of speed. They are rated at 11mbps, but in truth you will be getting a good bit less then that.     But in truth, most people won't push their home network to the point where they could tell the difference (Except for maybe you SE's out there!). And just to test it we of course had to fire up a game of "AoE: Conquerors!"
