The Savage3D has always looked good on paper, and still does even though it's been almost nine months since the specs were first issued to the press. Hercules has built on the positive aspects of the Savage3D's natural abilities by outfitting the Beast Supercharged with its maximum amount of allowable ram (8MB of SGRAM), TV-Out (800x600x32bpp) and a 250MHz RAMDAC (1600x1200 at 85Hz).

These features are appreciated, but what puts the Beast SuperChraged over the top in our mind is the chip screening that Hercules is doing to guarantee high performance. That's a move that a company run by gamers would make, and we really gots ta give up the props to Hercules for taking the extra steps they have, to guarantee their product's performance level.

Very nice, very nice indeed, as the Beast SuperCharged passed its ultimate test, it booted up with no trouble on a system based around an Abit BH6 mainboard!

LOLOL, we kid because we love but seriously the BH6 really gave the original Hercules Beast fits, and its nice to see that they've rectified the problem with the SuperCharged model.

Win95/98 detected the Beast SuperCharged properly, and easily installed the drivers from the Hercules provided CD.

The drivers for the Beast SuperCharged offer a lot of detail and adjustments in a multitude of possible settings. Refresh Hz levels, D3D and OpenGL settings, Gamma level selection, and other values are all represented via the various Hercules Touch display properties tabs and all worked without a hitch. It's obvious that Hercules is working their software engineer's fingers to the bone, and the result is drivers that perform extremely well.
