After using the Marvel for a few days and putting most of its abilities through their paces, our final conclusion is one of recommendation for the card. If you're an aspiring audio/video jockey, or if you want the finest TV on PC available, or if you want to try your hand at some light semi-pro style editing/capture, or if you've got as the Mossad says "$300 burning a hole in your pocket" the Marvel G200 is the card for you.
We found that it delivered on all of its promises, and offers a tremendous value considering that the only competitors to the card cost three to ten times as much as the Marvel.
Matrox has really done an "about-face" the past year, and now must be considered as one of the premier all-around video option suppliers in the world. Their G200 chip has signaled a corporate re-birth so to speak, and they seem to be putting a tremendous amount of resources into developing first-tier products that compete with the best of the best.
We commend their efforts, and look forward to what's next....
SharkyExtreme Highs and Lows:
- More TV/Video Options than a Caesar's Palace Presidential Suite
- Good quality bundle that's well suited to the Marvel's tasks.
- Visual Clarity impressive at all stages.
- Gamers will find the 3D acceleration lacking compared to TNT/Banshee Products.
