In comparison to the i440BX platform, FIC's KW15 can be looked at as a step forward for the buyer looking for value and a step backward for the performance zealot. By supporting DMA/66, the 133MHz FSB, and Intel's Accelerated Hub Architecture, bandwidth issues associated with the i440BX are efficiently addressed. Unfortunately, with an on-board audio CODEC and the GMCH sucking up performance, most gaming enthusiasts will find the KW15 a poor replacement for a stable BX-system.
