If there is one 3D video company that continually pushes the performance envelope, it would be NVIDIA. Their GeForce2 line of 3D cards progressed from the initial GeForce2 GTS, all the way up to the high-end GeForce2 ULTRA. These new cards seem to come in six-month intervals, with each being quite a bit faster than the one that preceded it.
After literally blowing the competition out of the water by continuing to increase GPU clock speeds, NVIDIA has shifted gears with the GeForce3. Instead of ratcheting up the core and memory speed as with the GeForce2 models, NVIDIA has taken a more features-oriented approach with their newest 3D card. This time out, NVIDIA has designed their GeForce3 around providing more than enough power for current 3D games, but with a nod towards supplying the features needed to really push the envelope in terms of 3D visual quality.
ELSA is among the several companies offering GeForce3 graphics cards, but is also one that has a long history producing NVIDIA products. This relationship dates back to the RIVA 128 era and ELSA has proven to be one of the true high-end manufacturers. Their products compete with other notable name brand cards from Guillemot and Creative Labs and have a reputation as stable, high quality products. ELSA is now offering up their Gladiac 920, a 64-MB GeForce3 graphics card, which promises to provide gamers with all the power they can handle, all in a streamlined and inexpensive design.
