Hercules, now a part of Guillemot, has a reputation for making highly overclockable video cards. With their first GeForce2 GTS, the 3D Prophet II GTS 32MB, Hercules failed to live up to their reputation, building a card with excessive cooling that would actually overclock less than the competition. Perhaps this was due to Hercules' use of a non-reference design and they learned their lesson, because Hercules is back with a 64MB GeForce2 GTS, the 3D Prophet II GTS 64MB, a card that appears to follow the reference design exactly, except for added heat sinks on the memory and a non-standard heat sink/fan combo on the GPU.

So does this all the extra cooling allow you to push the 3D Prophet II GTS 64MB further than any other GeForce2 GTS? Does the 64MB card live up to the Hercules reputation when the 32MB version did not? Read on to find out.
