PowerColor is a small Taiwanese video card and motherboard maker who had some innovative products when we last saw them in their booth at Computex Taiwan. But their primary products are video cards, so we took one of their cards, the PowerGene GTS 2, and put it through our normal testing procedure to see how it stacks up.

On the hardware level, the PowerGene GTS 2 is mostly a bare bones stock GeForce2 GTS, much like the Creative Annihilator 2. Its GPU is supposed to be clocked to 200MHz, though for some odd reason, ours came clocked at a 120MHz. After some quick fooling with PowerStrip, we were able to set it to 200MHz. But to continue, with four pipelines capable of drawing one pixel per clock each with two textures per pixel, the card has a stunning (but now standard) 800Mpixel fill rate and a 1.6Gtexel fill rate. It carries 32MB of DDR SGRAM running at 333MHz DDR, which is the standard for GeForce2 GTS cards, and supplies over 5GBps of memory bandwidth.
