  • The TV tuning and capture quality for broadcast TV is pretty decent. At the highest quality setting, the video quality was much better than that of ASUS' Deluxe series cards. We were able to receive a wide number of stations and, with some antenna tweaking, they came in pretty well, especially considering the inside building location. However, we do still prefer Matrox's G400 capture quality.

The FM audio quality is quite good when you can get a clear signal. It sounded as good as any basic stereo we have heard, with very little static. Once the signal degraded though, the VoodooTV 200 ran into trouble. It would easily drop out the signal entirely. The tuner also had trouble receiving stations in general. You need to use a separate FM antenna, not just TV rabbit ears, in order to receive signals on the VoodooTV 200. 3dfx suggests an antenna combiner. We suggest that 3dfx should include a radio antenna hookup in addition to the rabbit ears hookup.
